My name is Paige Shields. My son, Hayden, is entering 3rd grade, and this is my first year to serve on the VVPTA Board and as president. We also have a newly adopted 2 year old daughter, Ambria. I was born and raised in Oklahoma City. I attended Oklahoma State (BS, Political Science) and George Washington University (MA, Political Science). We moved to Santa Barbara from the Bay Area 6 yrs ago. My husband, John, and I met working as policy analysts in D.C. . John is a corporate attorney in town with Stradling, Yocca, Carlson & Rauth.
I spent many years as a database analyst and consultant, but now I am mainly a mom, and I teach technology-related after school enrichment classes, including robotics and filmmaking.
