Hello, I am Mariann Cooley, the new principal of Vieja Valley Elementary School. I am so excited to be part of the Vieja Valley family! I have lived in Santa Barbara for over 30 years, spending much of my time working in schools as a teacher, administrator and parent volunteer. My husband and I have two children. Our daughter, Megan, is married and currently going to school to obtain her teaching credential in special education. She and her husband, Chase, live in Brea, California where Chase works in communications. Our son, Joe, is a senior at USC and plans to attend medical school in a few years. When I am not at school, I enjoy playing tennis, reading and taking long walks or riding my bike. My husband and I travel to Los Angeles on many weekends to visit our kids. They grew up way too quickly and we take any opportunity to get together as a family.
