Hi, I am serving as Secretary for the PTA this year. My son, Ty, went all 7 years to Vieja Valley and is now a successful 7th grader at La Colina. My other son,Toby, is in Mr. Reeves 3rd grade class. I have been helping with various roles at Vieja Valley, but this is my first year officially being on the Board. I have organized the school choir (Vieja Valley Voices) for the last 5 years. I have also helped out with Reflections, Logowear, and the school’s Partybook and Gala. Currently I am in charge of our school fundraiser with Genevieve and American Publishers. This fundraiser helps decrease the costs for the 5th and 6th grade science camps. When I am not busy volunteering at school, I am coaching my son’s soccer team, organizing our Pack 30 cubscout activities, or managing my own soccer team that I play on. I also work part-time as a physical therapist, and teach anatomy at UCSB. Vieja Valley has many great parents and great extra activities for our kids. So if you have a little free time, come help. You will be proud to be a part of this school.
