Originally from the bay area, I came to UCSB for college, briefly left the area to attend law school, and moved back in the mid-90's to stay in Santa Barbara forever (hopefully). I am married to Shiv Chandrasekaran. We have two children: Fiona, 7th grade at La Colina, and Aidan, 5th grade in Mr. Barker's class. Since my daughter entered kindergarten, I have been an active member of this community: parent volunteer, teacher aide, substitute teacher and PTA president. Last year, I took leave of Vieja to get my teaching credential and Masters in Education from UCSB. In my spare time, you can find me in my garden, taking ballet classes or reading.
